abortion ?
May 4, 2008

Well, in order to fully decide if you support abortion, you need to know what exactly it is? Wikipedia’s definition seems to dumb the process down for the average American- “An abortion is the removal or expulsion of an embryo or fetus from the uterus, resulting in or caused by its death. “
The topic of abortion is met with a ton of controversy- Morals or Freedom. Is it okay to murder a being? Should women be in control of their body? Abortion is one of the issues that cannot really have a compromise. At first, I was against the concept for the most part. However, I believed that victims of rape should have the decision to terminate their pregnancies. If there was CONSENT, women should not have that decision. They need to face the consequences of their actions. In life, one cannot run away from his or her problems. YOU CAN’T KILL THEM EITHER. While looking through an image to begin this post, I came across pictures of fetuses and embryos that were dead because of an abortion. I WAS SICKENED. I could not believe that THAT was an abortion. It is murder. I am not so sure anymore if rape victims should have that right. I mean, there are adoption agencies. To cope with the pain of the rape, the governement can provide counselling.
After all, isn’t murder frowned upon by God?
Leave your thoughts on abortion.
imperfections!

I would like to talk about each candidates faults:First up, Hilary Clinton. The thing is with her is that nothing is all that attractive about her positions. she is unoriginal and is trying to be like her husband. It is also tiring how she frequently disses bush! she always talks about how she wants to unite both the republican and democrat parties- so why is she bashing bush at every debate and speech she makes. We get it, Hil, you don’t like bush, much like the other 67 % of the U.S. Next up, Senator Obama:Personally, I don’t see anything wrong with Obama, but others do. Some say he doesn’t have enough experience. Well, um, Bush had “experience”- look where that lead us. Others are worried that if he’s elected, he will be assassinated because of his skin color. The KKK have sent him a death threat, so who knows what is possible.John McCainJohn McCain started as an elderly underdog. He has clearly proven himself worthy of the title, Commander in Chief. However, is he too old? Moreover, he has clearly said that he doesn’t know much about the economy. With our economy’s plummet, we kinda sorta need a President who knows a thing or two. Also, what is up with John McCain’s facial expessions. I have never ever seen him laugh or actually smile a geniune smile.
Clearly, none of the presidents are perfect, but I guess we should pick one that we feel reflects our beliefs. Stay tuned, fans. Starting tomorrow, I will bring up an issue a day and give their positions as well as MINE =]
gay marriage
April 21, 2008

Gay Marriage. It is a controversial topic, no doubt. A great deal of the population is totally against and disgusted by the thought of two members of the same gender joining together in matrimony, while another large portion support the idea of a civil union. A civil union is, in simpleton terms, a signed commitment that the two persons will be living together. Though it is considered to have the same rights as a marriage, others argue that it’s the principal behind it. They want equal rights. And how do the Presidential candidates feel about this?Obama, the Senator of Illinois, has supported equal rights for gay men, but has opposed gay marriage. Hilary Clinton, Senator of New York, has voted against the amendment that would allow gay marriage if passed. She also supports a civil union. And McCain? Well, he’s been flip flopping on this issue like John Kerry was back in 2004. He keeps switching his position back and forth on whether or not gay people should have the same rights as straight men and women. How do I feel about this? it’s a tough topic, but i fully support them for now. Straight, but not narrow.
could this be the end of the clinton era?

Could this be the end of the Clinton Era?
At first, political gurus were all in unison that New York Senator Hilary Clinton was absolutely going to be the Democratic nominee for President of the United States. As months, debates, and primaries passed, Hillary clinton’s lead over Senator Barack Obama began to dwindle. Polls are now dead close, and every little word from the opponent’s mouth is attacked upon. Kindergarten records are being pulled up. Tracings of Obama’s family tree has begun as well. It seems to be that Obama is inching above Clinton in the race, something nobody thought would happen in 2007. It appears that maybe being nonviolent does prevail. Maybe one doesn’t need to be a vicious bull, whose attacks seem to kill him in the end. So, if good prevails over evil like in a storytale, this marks the end of the Clinton Era. Could it be? Could it be that the lying, no-good white trash will end up bowing their heads in shame?
