dear mr.president

Today, i am feeling extremely cynical. So, I youtube-ed a bunch of anti-bush videos, and one really caught my attention. It is the song by Pink, titled Dear Mr. President. It is an emotional song that has a different tune from the rest of the angry I HATE BUSH SONGs you know and love. I was really surprised that PINK wrote such a song, but I have to say I am very impressed.. This is a really good song, so I hope you enjoy it.

racism

I decided to digress from the usual political stuff i write about because if you think about it, it isn’t even remotely important and in dire need of discussion compared to disheartening topics like racism. For as long as there have been whites, blacks, browns, and beige people, there has been oppression upon one another. You see caucasians treating “blacks” worse than dogs and it isn’t in any way fair. You would think that people would learn that we aren’t really all that different. We’re just colors on this huge planet, just going through life. Why is it that some of us are so insecure that we have this urge to put down other people. it just doesn’t make sense. will martin luther king jr.’s dream of peace among the races ever be fulfilled? the truth is, i doubt it. as long as we all have different skin tones, there will be oppression, ignorance, and hatred.
